These are some of our lecturers.

Nicola Hardy

Course(s): Adobe Illustrator - Level 1

Nicola Hardy is a visual artist, graphic designer and trainer with many years' experience, working both locally and internationally.

She teaches Graphic Design in the School of Architecture and Design as well as maintaining her own design practice with a focus on community, education and arts projects. Her main areas of interest are collaboration, language, colour, zines, and creative concept development.

Shoso Shimbo

Course(s): Japanese Aesthetics: From Flower Arrangements to Contemporary Art

Shoso Shimbo has over 20 years’ experience in ikebana and studied under the late Sogetsu Head Master, Hiroshi Teshigahara. Shoso has BA in Asian Philosophy, MA in Japanese Studies, Master of Fine Art and PhD in Education.

Shoso was selected by Belle magazine as one of Australia’s six 'top floral designers' and has won multiple awards including the Gold Award at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. His work was selected for the prestigious publication International Floral Art 2014-15, Stichting Kunstboek (Belgium).

Cam Cope

Course(s): Contemporary Travel Photography with Cam Cope

Cam Cope is the 2014 Australian Travel Photographer of the Year and an experienced travel photojournalist with an infectious passion for engaging with different cultures and sharing knowledge.

His work is regularly published in magazines such as Australian Geographic, The Weekend Australian, Get Lost, International Traveller, Royal Auto, TravelTalk and others. Cam also maintains documentary and art practices, exhibits widely, presents publicly on his work, has published several book titles and has work in the permanent collection of the Melbourne Museum.
