Photography Short Courses

RMIT offers a range of photography short courses for all skills levels and interests. Start with Introduction to Photography - Level 1 and continue on to the Introduction to Photography - Level 2 to further develop your skills and/or specialise into travel and landscape, people and portrait or food photography.

Deborah Dorman

Deborah has run a successful photography business in Queensland since 1998. She's an accredited member of the AIPP and has had three solo exhibitions. She has been teaching photography for many years.

Sammy Green

Course(s): Food Photography

Sammy’s passion is food photography and styling. Sammy is the photographer for the mouthwatering cookbook, The Middle Brighton Baths(2014), which features not only food but also the interiors and exteriors of the building and surroundings. Sammy has recently completed a Diploma of Photo Imaging at RMIT. See her work at

Cam Cope

Course(s): Contemporary Travel Photography with Cam Cope

Cam Cope was awarded 2014 Australian Travel Photographer of the Year and is an experienced travel photojournalist with an infectious passion for engaging with different cultures and sharing knowledge. His work is regularly published in magazines such as Australian Geographic, The Weekend Australian, Get Lost, International Traveller, Royal Autoand TravelTalk. Cam also maintains documentary and art practices, exhibits widely, presents publicly on his work, has published several book titles and has works featuring in the permanent collection of the Melbourne Museum.
