The morning session of this course covers major areas of concern relating to infection control in dentistry. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that you comply with the Australian Standards and ADA guidelines.
In the afternoon you will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. (It is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor).
Participants will be guided through the following best practice aspects associated with infection control:
• What is infection control;
• Understanding the basic principles of infection control;
• Effective hygiene, implementation and compliance;
• Using disposable products;
• Risk minimisation techniques;
