Overview
Would you like to experience the full process involved in making a documentary for film or television? This 6 week course shows you from beginning to end.
Following an illustrated presentation on the range of documentary forms, you will work through how to create a documentary, starting with treatment, pre-production & planning. In production, explore camera fundamentals, composition, framing, lighting, location sound & production roles as a class. Finally you will individually edit the class work using the industry standard Premiere Pro on Mac (or Final Cut Pro on request) in postproduction.

This course is ideal for beginners, for people who wish to upgrade their documentary video production skills and for media professionals wishing to expand into the film and television field. You will work in teams on a class project and experience working in a variety of crewing positions. You will then individually edit your documentary and export your final movie to take away with you.
