This one-day workshop helps you write business documents that achieve results and present a professional image.
You will learn the 5-stage writing process, the principles of clear writing and how to structure documents for maximum impact. This practical workshop explores common business forms, such as emails, letters, memos, proposals and reports.
This course is aimed at people working in business who are needing to focus and hone their writing skills. It includes a variety of areas for study in a compact course.
Completion of this course will not guarantee entry into an RMIT Program.
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to create professional, reader-centred business documents.

Nicolas Brasch has been a freelance corporate writer for two decades, working for companies and organisations of all sizes and in virtually all sectors. He has provided training to many of these organisations, greatly improving their communication output. He coordinates two of the professional writing courses at Swinburne University, teaches business writing at RMIT, is Chair of Writers Victoria, and host of The Garret podcast. He has also had more than 400 books for children published by many of Australia’s leading publishers.
Lorna Hendry is a freelance writer, editor and graphic designer. Her books include the travel memoir Wrong Way Round and 15 non-fiction books for children. The Gigantic Book of Genes was an Honour Book in the 2017 Children’s Book Council of Australia Eve Pownall Award for Information Books. How to Win a Nobel Prize, co-written with Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall, will be published by Black Inc in 2018. Lorna is an Institute of Professional Editors Accredited Editor. She teaches in RMIT’s Associate Degree in Professional Writing and Editing, and the Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing (Business).
