This course is designed for photography enthusiasts who understand the basics of camera operation and are ready to consolidate their knowledge and improve their understanding and use of camera skills, composition, design and lighting.
Participants will be provided practical shooting scenarios (location based, not studio) along with discussion and feedback to improve their photography. Emphasis will be on making informed choices while shooting with intent, shooting in RAW and learning how to process in Adobe Lightroom.
This course concentrates on improving skills in a fun, relaxed yet challenging environment. Suitable for folio or project development.

Photography enthusiasts who understand the basics of camera operation and want to improve their technique further or those who are stuck in a rut and need motivation and inspiration to push their skills and vision to the next level.
Ideal follow on for those who have completed the short course: Introduction to Photography Level 1 - Technical and Aesthetic or equivalent.
Upon completion of this course, you will have increased your all round knowledge of photography, improved your skills and technique and further developed your personal style. You will gain a greater confidence in the use of your camera and a solid understanding of how to use your equipment to get the shots you want.
'Introduction to Photography Level 1 - Technical and Aesthetic' short course or equivalent. Must have a basic understanding of ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed.
All materials supplementary to participant's own camera.
DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Notebook and pen. A4 Display Folder. USB storage stick.
Participants will be awarded an RMIT Statement of Participation.
Deborah is a qualified professional photographer with a successful photography business in Qld. (Wild Honey Photography). She loves sharing her knowledge of photography with others and has a knack for explaining the complex in easy to understand ways.
As well as teaching at RMIT, Deborah runs Photography Travel Tours and regularly exhibits her fine art photography, with images in both public and private collections.
