Building Responsive HTML Emails

Overview

Do you want to create responsive HTML emails that look great on mobile devices as well as larger screens? Right now, over half of emails are opened on mobile devices. Creating responsive EDMs and e-marketing materials is absolutely essential for any effective campaign.

For those who already have some web design skills this course is a great way to jump in and learn how to code your own HTML emails from scratch. You’ll learn HTML and CSS for responsive design, and you will soon be building HTML emails that look great across the widest range of devices and platforms.

Students who have completed Website Design 1 or Responsive Website Design will be eligible for a 10% discount on course fees for Building Responsive HTML emails.

Outcome

The intention of this course is to teach you to do everything from editing existing email templates, to confidently beginning to code your own from scratch. You’ll leave the course with a completed responsive HTML email that can be used as a template for your own designs.

Pre-requisites

You should have some experience with hand coding HTML and CSS. This course is ideal for students who have completed Website Design 1 - The Full Overview.

Materials supplied

All relevant course materials are supplied, including handouts and project files.

Materials to bring

Bring a USB stick, so you can take away working project files with you. If you like to take notes, bring paper and pen!

Award

Participants will be awarded an RMIT Certificate of Completion.

Specialising in web and interactive design, multimedia and graphics, Paul has been building websites and teaching web design since the early days of the Web. In London, Paul was co-director of Ubiq Creative Training, a highly respected company delivering innovative short courses to designers and developers.
