The aim of this course is to introduce the use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator specifically for the fashion and textile industry. It will include new techniques and skills in the use of both these programs to develop finished artwork relevant to fashion and textile design. The course concentrates on beginner level learning.

• Developing and editing fashion technical drawings
• Image editing and special effects
• File management
• Moodboard and storyboard development
The course is best suited to those who are currently working or plan to work within the Fashion Industry
This course is aimed at an introductory level. It is intended that participants will develope their skills further in their own time. It is highly recommended that participants will have access to the programs outside of the course learning time.
By the end of this course, participants will have skills of Adobe Photoshop to be able to construct moodboards including editing images with additional skills in Illustrator to construct a basic technical drawing and refine and edit existing technical drawings.
Participants in this short course need to have good practical knowledge of general computer skills and file management. Understanding of file saving and file archiving is important in a PC environment

Participants will be awarded an RMIT Statement of Participation.
To help create more fluently run classes and due to the complexity of the Adobe programs it is suggested participants have access to the programs outside of the course nights to practice building their skills.
