You might have heard it before: cyber security is everyone’s responsibility. The latest estimates put the price of online crime in Australia at $1 billion per year. You really don’t want to be part of that statistic.
This is one of the few courses that tackles cyber crime from a strategic perspective. There’s no technical or IT knowledge required. You will be working on how to prepare a cyber security strategy, how to champion and own it and how to communicate this back to your business. This course has been built in collaboration with leading cyber security experts from Palo Alto Networks. It runs entirely online and over six weeks so you can fit it in an around your work life schedule.
Our Cyber Security Risk and Strategy course is ideal for:
- Mid-senior managers looking to gain the skills to implement a cyber strategy into the organisation
- Consultants, IT professionals and entrepreneurs, who have little exposure to cyber security and want to instil cyber practices into their teams or businesses
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
- Critically review business practice to develop a cybersecurity risk management strategy and prioritise protective/ preventative actions.
- Plan, present and justify a post-incident strategy to address a cyber-attack.
With access to a specialised lab, you’ll get hands-on with the tools and create your own cyber security strategy by the end of this course.

Course Overview
Learn more about our Cyber Security Risk and Strategy course in the video below.
Cybersecurity is really around how do you protect your systems and your information for any organization whether it's big or small public or private
sector so cybersecurity is much more important and is continuing to grow in importance as we get more and more connected digitally.
These days it's all there at your fingertips which is great but also means that the ways that it can be exploited and compromised are also there as well it's incumbent on all of us to actually be a little bit cyber savvy
one of the things I like about cybersecurity is that it changes all the time it's dynamic so I think to keep up to date with cybersecurity and particularly the threat landscape. I think the first thing is is to look at an industry methodology to pick up a framework such as NIST or the cloud security lines and look at their best practices and understand how they're managing their cybersecurity recommendations and the domains and the controls and so on. Just keep on learning and keep on understanding what are the threats the challenges what's impacting other businesses
