Work can be a really huge part of how we achieve purpose in life and how we
define who we are as individuals so we need to understand that how we lead
really has a significant impact on all of the people around us. The digital era
has changed the game for everybody. We now have leaders where the knowledge
needs to be closer to the work so you can't be the Oracle of all knowledge
because you're gonna hold everything up. The pace is too fast. People want a
certain level of autonomy. People want to be learning all the time and if you
bring sort of traditional leadership mindset it really stifles innovation so
being able to make sense of things, make decisions quickly, enable your team to
move without you, these are the things that actually allow you to keep up and I
think the speed of things is probably the biggest lever that has happened in
business today.
